What is pain management?

A: Pain is a complex medical problem that can have profound effects on your physical and mental well-being. The goal of pain management is to help you decrease your level of pain and suffering, to return you to your maximum level of functioning and independence, and to help you restore your quality of life.

Are treatments covered by health insurance?

A: Most policies cover treatment.  Since insurance can get complex please call our office for a complimentary benefit check, 732-431-2155.

What conditions do you treat?

With our unique team approach we treat various disorders of the musculoskeletal system  including but not limited to back pain, neck pain, herniated discs, carpal tunnel syndrome, headaches, post surgical rehabilitation and  pain in the joints of the arms or legs.

What should I expect when I come to see you?

At your first visit we will perform an evaluation to determine what the particular issues are and how they are affecting your life. With your consent and involvement we will determine the best course of treatment for you. We will negotiate any follow-up treatments that may be needed to monitor and/or advance your treatment so you continue to progress toward your goals. Please wear comfortable clothing that will allow access to the body area you wish to address.

How long are the appointments?

The initial appointment is approximately 45 minutes including filing out the necessary paperwork. Any follow-up appointments are approximately 30 minutes each but may vary depending on the type of treatment required. Speak with the clinician about this after the first session.
